Scout Valley Wayfinding

We worked with the city of Orillia and local volunteers to build a wayfinding system for the 230 acre Scout Valley Park. Once designed, we fabricated and installed the markers, wayposts, and trailhead signs. In developing the mapping, we walked the trails collecting GPS waypoint markers which were then entered into Open Street Maps to create an accurate layout of the trail system. The final map artwork was georeferenced and will be used in a smartphone audio tour app due out in 2024.
